Whether for developers or mobile games, Waydroid brings Android apps to the PC. It's easy on Linux, and also possible on Windows thanks to WSL.

Mobile games on the PC, self–developed apps or those that you don't want on the smartphone - or simply no smartphone: there are many reasons to run Android apps on the PC. How to Run Android apps on Windows PC

The name already says something about the technical basis: Waydroid relies on the display server Wayland, so it is designed for Linux first. However, it can also replace the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) under Microsoft's operating system via the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

The advantage: Waydroid can be installed with Google Apps, i.e. access the Play Store. WSA, on the other hand, uses the Amazon App Store.
