Where can you watch live football on TV and streams in the 2025/26 season? Here an overview of the most important leagues, competitions, and broadcasters.

Soon the ball will be rolling again in the Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga and in the DFB Cup. But where are the matches of the German teams to be seen? And is the Champions League 2025/26 on free-TV? Every year, football fans ask themselves these and other questions again. And not without reason, because the broadcasting rights for the tournaments and leagues regularly move back and forth between the broadcasters. So that you can keep an overview, we have compiled the current football TV rights situation for the upcoming season here.

UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Live

In the 2025/26 season, the majority of the Champions League will be broadcast on the DAZN streaming service. Other games are available on Amazon Prime Video and on ZDF. This is how the providers divide up the lots:

• DAZN: All matches of the league phase and the knockout round - except for selected Tuesday matches, which Amazon shows. In addition, the UEFA Supercup between the Champions League winner and the Europa League winner (186 of the 203 matches)
• Amazon Prime Video: Top games on Tuesday (play-offs, league phase, knockout round, 17 games)
• ZDF: Finale (one game, parallel to DAZN)

Note: DAZN has increased its prices and introduced a new package structure in recent months. The Champions League and the Bundesliga are now only available to new customers at an expensive tariff (DAZN Unlimited). Another change came into force on October 1, 2021, since then the free trial month is no longer bookable.

In the lower house of German football, the legal situation is somewhat simpler. If you want to watch all the games, you only need a single subscription – from Sky or WOW.

• Sky: All games as a single game and conference including relegation (308 games)
• RTL: All the top matches on Saturday at 20:30 (33 matches)
• Satellite.1: Opening match on matchday 1 and relegation to the second division (three games in parallel with Sky)
