AMD new F-bombs, the Ryzen 7 9700F and the Ryzen 5 9500F, two new Zen 5 CPUs without integrated graphics, are now listed for the first time in US retail stores, officially confirming their availability. It had already been clear that these CPUs would be released.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9700F and the Ryzen 5 9500F are now listed for the first time in US retail and thus officially confirmed. The entries on the Asus website and in the Geekbench benchmark database had already revealed the two new processors based on the current Zen-5 architecture ("Nirvana") in advance.

AMD Ryzen 9000F: AM5 firmware for new CPUs is distributed

While the AMD Ryzen 5 9500F, which operates at 6C/12T and 3.8 to 5.0 GHz, is the direct successor of the extremely popular Ryzen 5 7500F, the Ryzen 7 9700F, which offers 8C/16T at an as yet unknown boost clock, rounds off the Ryzen 9000 ("Granite Ridge") without IGP ("Integrated Graphics Processor") to the top. After the official release, the two new Zen-5 CPUs will be able to run on all available AM5 motherboards from the well-known manufacturers by means of a firmware update to AMD AGESA ComboAM5 PI 1.2.0.3F.

As expected, the two CPUs work with a TDP rating of 65 watts and, if available, should be placed on the market a little cheaper than their serial brothers with integrated RDNA-2 graphics unit. AMD itself has not officially presented the two new Zen-5 processors so far.
