Intel's own manufacturer benchmarks reveal that the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and the Core Ultra 7 250K Plus are positioned against the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and the Ryzen 5 9600X, but hardly offer any additional performance in games.
Intel's in-house manufacturer benchmarks, which have now been published by the website VideoCardz even before the final fall of the embargo, already reveal that the new Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and the Core Ultra 7 250K Plus will probably be positioned against the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X and the Ryzen 5 9600X, but are unlikely to offer any extra performance in games. On average, only an additional performance of 0 to 4 percent is expected in gaming.
Is Core Ultra 9 285K better than Ryzen 9900X?

While the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is supposed to be up to 4 percent faster than a Ryzen 7 9700X on average of 37 games, Intel sees the Core Ultra 5 250K at the performance level of a Ryzen 5 9600X. In Blender, however, an "AI scene" is supposed to run with significantly higher performance (up to +85%) on Arrow Lake Refresh.
At least their own predecessors, the Core Ultra 7 270K and Core Ultra 5 245K, are to be beaten by 15 percent and 13 percent respectively in games. Arrow Lake Refresh should score accordingly, especially in terms of price performance.
The editors of Shero King will of course also accompany the release of the "new" Core Ultra 200S with detailed analyses and benchmarks, even if Intel's own benchmarks probably do not promise any new gaming kings.
