From Entra ID to Threat Protection to device management with Intune – this workshop offers practical knowledge for securing Microsoft 365.
Microsoft 365 is a central platform for business processes for many companies, which also makes it an attractive target for cyber attacks. Comprehensive protection of this environment requires in-depth knowledge of the various security services and their effective use.
Implementing Microsoft 365 security in practice
The three-day online workshop "Microsoft 365 Security" from September 15 to 17, 2025 teaches course participants how to holistically secure Microsoft 365 environments. The training is conducted by Aaron Siller, an experienced Microsoft cloud expert, and is aimed at IT security managers who want to expand their knowledge in the field of Microsoft 365.
The main focus of the workshop is the integration and configuration of Microsoft 365 security services. The participants will learn how to set up Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for identity management, activate identity Protection and identify potential risks at an early stage. The protection of hybrid environments and the configuration of central security policies are also covered in the Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center.
Protection of end devices with Microsoft Intune
Another focus is on endpoint protection with Microsoft Intune and the Endpoint Manager. Here, participants will learn how to configure Mobile Device Management (MDM) and app protection policies to make mobile work environments secure. The use of Windows Autopilot and Conditional Access will also be deepened, so that the participants will learn the protection of mobile devices and applications in Microsoft 365 in a practice-oriented way.
Test environment for practical exercises
For the practical implementation, a Microsoft 365 E5 trial license and a virtual machine in Microsoft Azure will be available to the participants during the workshop. Alternatively, you can use your own Azure subscriptions or local test environments. This practical test environment makes it possible to test security configurations realistically and to gain direct experience with the protective measures.
The workshop will be conducted in German via an established video conferencing platform. Upon successful completion, graduates receive a certificate that documents their newly acquired skills in the field of Microsoft 365 security.
