Following a "new" GPU roadmap stating that AMD will stick with RDNA 3.5 until 2028 and beyond, corresponding discussions on this topic have now been initiated. However, there is currently little concrete information available.

After a "new" GPU roadmap published by Golden Pig Upgrade states that AMD will stick to RDNA 3.5 ("GFX115X") until at least 2028 and beyond, appropriate discussions have now been started on this topic. So far, however, there is little concrete information and almost all "sources" continue to grope in the dark.

On the one hand, it must be clearly mentioned that the supposed "GPU roadmap" of Golden Pig Upgrade itself was created on the basis of its information and using AI, on the other hand, @Kepler_L2, who is known for his reliable information, has already clearly insisted and noted accordingly that this now "outdated" GPU architecture should only be used for low-end products and the performance classes with a dedicated GPU.

While other sources and leakers wanted to sense a real scandal again and exclaimed "RDNA 3.5 Forever", @Kepler_L2 made it clear that AMD is betting on a new graphics architecture of the RDNA 5/UDNA generation ("GFX13") with its upcoming APUs alias "Medusa Point" and "Medusa Halo" with their architectures Zen 6 ("Morpheus") and Zen 6c ("Monarch") for its upcoming APUs.

It would be hard to imagine anything else in view of FSR 4 Redstone with ML support and future updates of its own upscaling technology, which is becoming increasingly important. FSR 4 is already being withheld from all IGPs and officially only runs on the Radeon RX 9000 Series with RDNA 4 ("GFX12"). The comparison with Intel illustrates that this supposedly new "GPU roadmap" is primarily intended to create a little "mood". This is obviously to give the impression that RDNA 3.5 is competing against Intel Xe3, XE3P, Future Xe and Nvidia.

Considering the fact that AMD's 13th GPU generation alias RDNA 5 alias UDNA alias GFX13XX has already appeared several times in Linux patches and documentation, it is clear to assume that products (including APUs) with RDNA 5 can be expected from 2027 onwards. RDNA 4 and RDNA 3.5 can never last that long.
